There are a few seats affixed
to the walls of the corridor.
I am patient when waiting for the first seat in the corridor.
The waiting area keeps us in a kindly queue,
outside and facing the small and private rooms.
These are the seats I always offer support from.
I have to accompany and support the one
waiting to be called from the seats towards
the rooms where those who help work.
The routine of quiet, reflective, short spells of waiting
still linger with me far longer than they must.

I think that i won’t be frightened next time im in hospital, i will think of this poem, and Many Different Kinds of Love book, and it gives me courage.
