I will try with my 14 year old students in France -some of them are scared of writing but we’ve been revising feelings and emotions so…fingers crossed !

I have your book, sad book, for myself aged68. You can guess why. I wouldn’t say it’s a comfort, but it is certainly what they refer to now as grounding. A tether. It’s only been a few months. Brendan was 37. I wrote a poem and I wondered you would read it, and if I should post it somewhere on or for poetry day. I follow you on Twitter and retweet almost everything. A refusal won’t offend, nd no answer will not be seen as a stern reply. Cordially, martin.

Thanks for this article. I teach English in France and I’d like to show my 14 year-old students that writing poems is fun (some of them are not convinced at all). This “Imagism” tradition sounds really good since we’ve been revising feelings and emotions. I’m going to try next week. Our poems will probably be much shorter than yours ! 😉
Emmanuelle
